Blog 16: Type CATW practice 3

In the passage How to do One thing at a time by women's health Magazine argues that multitasking a bad habit because has cognitive limits. According to the 2 group of student experiments, who are studying in Stanford University shows that single taskers  are better than multitasking peers. Other tremendous amount of evidence also shows that single tasker's brain does much better than multitaskers do.  But some experts believes that it could be possible to repair people's power of concentration
"Talking on the phone is Dumb idea" I agree that multitasking break our concentration.  Multitasking has rapidly taken over and over our lives. For example, chatting with a friend while doing homework or talking on the phone while driving  are bad ideas. When doing many things at a time effects our brain because our brain have cognitive limits.
Driving while talking on the phone it against bylaw. In many place we still see people driving while on their cell phones. Many people think that they can drive and handle cell phones without causing any accident but it is dangerous for people lives.  For example, my dad died in a car accident.  While he was driving, he was talking on the phone and with friend who was sitting next to him.
”Brain have cognitive limit.”  Multitasking affects our brain.  While we multitask, our brain concentration is less.  For example, when I tried to do all my homework at once I lost and my brain tired.  In addition, I think multitask has negative effect to our brain.
In my point of view, multitasking break our concentration we have to do thing step by step, its more helpful than doing many thing at a time.

Blog 15: Revision of CATW 2

In the passage The Woman Who Died In The Waiting Room by Jeneen Interlandi argues that hospitals employees didnt pay enough attention for the patient. Esmin Gareen who was in the Brooklyn psychiatric hospital fell out of her chair and died. She more than hour looking for anyone who can help her up.
"Hospital employees left Esmin G. Alone in the waiting room more than hour". I believe that if hospital employees take care of their patient Esmin G. would be alive. Leaving alone elderly person can be dangerous. We can't leave person if she/he unable to move himself/herself. Every hospital has to have take care of elderly people and watch carefully, because injures from falling or some other fact can lead to the situation when the person becomes unable to move or even die. If hospital members leave alone their patient, they could fell and can remain lying on the floor for many hours or even someone discover them. Sometimes this situation could be result in death. In some hospital employees are so leazy. I think that they dont want to do their job and leave alone patients.
Esmin G. Died from being left on the floor and ignored by several witnesses for over an hour. I feel bad for the Esmin G. It's very disappointing that hospital employees didn't do anything for her.

Blog 13: REVISION OF CATW 1

In the passage  An education in citizenship , author argues that Illinois house passed a bill which allow the students  who are in the U.S  illegally to pay more out of pocket for their education in the state, although non-citizens immigrants pay far less. People don't want to see anyone deprived of a good eduction. In my point of view illegal students have to pay less than legal students.
Many students from other state charge more than non citizen  immigrants. for example, friend of mine who came to NY from California and continuing her education in NY college.
Citizenship is an ambiguous and complex term that can be hard to define, however it involves some of the following; its encourages people to get involve in community issues that affect their everyday lives, it ensure to promote a multi-cultural society, it enables people to develop the feeling of belongingness, it encourage Citizens to take social and moral responsibilities and it empower them to access the legal, political, Economical and Social Institutions that govern their lives. Nearly in all modern Societies, those that are regarded as Citizens must posses some sort of certifying documents such as passport, birth certificate or naturalisation. Most importantly, Citizens have a wide range of political, civil and social rights. However, such rights are balanced by certain obligations to both the

Blog 12: Consequentialism

The Gone, Baby, Gone is a film about the kidnapping. In the film, little girl Amanda was kidnapped by the captain to give her a better life because Captan own daughter was killed. Amanda's mother was a drug addict, horrible Mother. Patrick finally found Amanda in captan's house and decides to call the police and give Amanda back to her mother. But his girlfriend wants to keep Amanda with captan, because she will have a better life. His argument that he could not live with himself knowing that the girl was taken from her mother, even if she may have a better life, one day she might grow up and wish she knew her mother. It's basically a principle with him that he can absolutely never bend, even if it means that Amanda will eventually be worse, living with his mother.Giving the girl back to the mother was the right thing. Even if she would have had a better life with the police chief, who gets to judge parenting ability. The right thing to do is not always the easiest.

Blog: 8 Red pill or blue pill: Is ignorance Bliss?

In the passage Red pill or blue pill: Is ignorance Bliss? author talks about the connection between two main characters from the movies Matrix and Alice's adventures. Alice in Wonderland  for their resemblance between the real world and wonders, in these films, as symbols of Neo and Alice were confused by the fact that real and what is not real.  Allegory of the Cave of the story is also a lot of these concepts films in which characters in the allegory of the cave were chained their necks and legs in a cave filled with only darkness. When one  prisoners escaped he saw the light  and was embarrassed because he knew only darkness. The darkness was only the truth as  The Matrix was the only true Neo thought he knew, although he felt different and got a chance to get out of the matrix  know the real truth, and how our minds are trained to believe that we want to believe.

Blog 6: I Know the Truth, so Don't bother Me with Facts ( Essay)

In the passage "I Know The Truth, So Don't Bother Me With Facts" by Jefferey Kluger stated that people want to believe whatever they hear or see. They would sheepishly accept the truth and change our views accordingly. Without much doubt, people believe what they want to believe however, we all don't believe the same set of ideals and values for the same set of reasons.
Many people believe what they want to believe, much of the time they believe,  without good reason. . Lots of people have reasons for what they believe, but when those reasons are refuted when they're taken away or weakened by other evidence.
Some people see being proved wrong as a weakness in themselves. They are afraid they will come off as foolish in front of others. Other times it is because they are closed minded and refuse to believe in someone else's evidence.
People  in our world, more want to believe falls than truth. They believe whatever they want to believe to make their lives more easier

Blog 5: The Allegory of the Cave (Rev.)

In the passage "The Allegory of the Cave" Plato, discusses the interesting concept of the truth.  People who live in the cave, refuse to accept the reality.  In the cave, men live shackled to the wall, only capable of staring straight ahead. All they can see are the shadows of images carried between a curtain and a fire by some other people, who talk and make noises. The prisoners assume that what they see and hear is reality. They believe is everything is shadow. If a man were released and forced outside, the brilliance would be painful and make everything difficult for him to understand.

Blog 2: "HYPE"

In the article "Hype" by Kalle Lasn, the author argues that advertisements have been part of the Americas "mental pollutants." Everyday thousands of TV and radio commercials pollutant floods people's brain. Today, advertising has grown significantly. Moreover advertising play on informative role for the consumers and enable them to purchase products and services. I agree with Lasn that advertising exhibits negative effect in society.
Everywhere people go, they see form of advertisement which to influence consumers to buy something. In  America, people lives absolutely flooded with advertising. For example; by the time when we open our mailbox unless we see something particularly  eye catching, where determined to rid ourselves of it as quickly as possible. Also TV commercials trying to influence people to buy something.  For example;  When I watch TV I see the products description and I decide to purchase that product  without having any type of pressure or influence to it. Sometimes I think we have too much form of advertisement anywhere.
Many people don't  know that "advertisement" are the most prevalent and toxic of the mental pollutants." People trying to buy whatever they see on TV or shop buy online without having any pressure.

Biog 1: "How to do one thing at a time"

Multitaskig has rapidly taken over and over our lives. Chating with the friends while doing homework or talking on the phone while driving is "really dumb idea." In the Journal Neuro-Image revealed that when doing many thing at atime effects our brain because  " our brain have  cognetive limits." According to recent experiment in a Stanhford University shows that single taskers are better than multitasking. Some experts belive that tehy can break their multitasking habit and sharpin their focus. I belive that doing one thing at a time is significantly better.
When people doing one thing at a time step by step they end up doing as well as they shoold because they doing only one thing they can concentrate better. For example; When I doing myb homework I am talking on the phone or listinning music. At the end when i finish homework I understand that i did not understand anything  and also myb brain tired. That's why I think we should do thing one thing at atime.
Talking on the phone while driving is really bad idea and also it could be dangerous. People while driving they have to pay attention to the road because its really dangerous to their and others life. For example; Long time ago my father died in a car accident. He liked to talk with friend next to him or on the phone while driving. Once my father and his friend were talking and did not pay attention  to the road happend accident and he died. People while driving they have to be very careful and pay attention to the road.
So people should not multitask trying to perform several tasks at a time. Even they have too many tasks to do within  a short time at a time they should  do all their work consistently step by step.
